I got my copy on Saturday from vg+.

So far I have only played it for 5 game days or so. Its a slow one to start with but it wil soon grow on you.

I am contemplating starting over as my poor dog hasn't been fed since the start and he probably hates me

The game is very easy itself to navigate and to play but its deffinately one that requires time and effort to reap the rewards

Got my copy this morning, spent all this morning playing it rather than working.

First impression - its bloody hard work, spent the last 7 game days planting and tending to my crops, milking my cow, and looking after my chickens. Not had any time to go chasing after the women or anything like that yet.

Spent most of my money on crops and the two chickens, one boy, one girl. The girl has laid a few eggs and one was fertisied so hopefully a chick will hatch soon.

Not fed my dog either, I guess he comes into his own when you get some sheep. I've also not been feeding my avatar very well, just eggs and milk.

What did you name your dog and your cow?

I've now got a female and male cow. And tried to get her pregnant. But she's like twice the size of him.

How do you get Chicken food? I want to get a couple of chickens. But i'm not sure where to get the food (I've got the JPN version you see)

You can't give the dog water or food can you?

You can feed the dog, you just need to have some food in your hands and put it into his dog bowl. Milk doesn't work though.

The chickens are bought using the ledger book (in the food storage shed)
          First option IIRC.

          Same with the chicken food

            ****!

I haven't fed my dog in like a month of the game time.

            Oh dear.

Cheers for that man. I'm not sure whether to get some chickens, or some sheep or horses...

Do you also think the in game time is far too short?

I find it hard to milk the cow twice, feed the cows twice a day, water crops etc.

I can't imagine what it's going to be like when i've got all the animals.

I named the dog after my old dog - King, (got him from a rescue center so not my choice of name), named the cow after the mother in law (Lesley)

The chickens are named after the kids, Jack & Lauren.

I've found you don't have to feed the cow or the chickens if you let them out during the day, and you can get free cow food if you cut the grass in the field.

I think the days are too short, or that tasks take too long, not sure which. I also think that you will have more time in the summer once your crops have sprouted (you don't have to water them), and you can buy a milking machine too.

Thanks for the tip about feeding the dog MikeF.

I think i've got the milking machine. Still takes ages though.

My dogs called Monkey, and my Cow Sniper. After my website. Can't remember what I called the Bull. I tried milking him and he gave me a well angry look.

                  Where do the chickens roam?

One Q for you, once you have picked a crops fruit or vegetable. How do you stop the crop from dieing? As I want it to bring me some more food, not die. ft:

I named my dog after my current dog - Spud.

The game time does feel a little on the short side and you are always rushing around to make sure that you do everything that you need to do in the day.

Still haven't caught any blasted fish though

                      How do you go fishing?

                      I love going fishing.

In fact, I had a messed up dream last night about fishing in a game.

You need to buy the fishing rod. I got my first one from Van (travelling salesman)

Then you just equip it as normal and use it

I've had this for a while and I'm scheming to marry the blond bird, the bartender's daughter so I can get free drinks.

Seriously though I have a question I've bought a couple cows and they are producing milk yet do I need to do something to them? After a while it does get easier, I'm going to focus on raising produce because it seems easier then crops.

Edit I figured out the cow thing you have to make the pregnant. My quick select button suddenly went wonky on me for my item. Maybe its my wavebird.

I have been revisiting Harvest Moon 2 on my Gamepark 32 to get me in the mood. I forgot how much the Harvest Moon games suck you in.

I have only played Harvest Moon 2 and from the reviews i have seen most seam to say that only the noobs and the major Harvest Moon freeks will enjoy Wonderful Life.

Anywhere you want on your farm.
Pick them up, walk out the door and put them where you want.
Remember though, only take them out when it's sunny or they'll get ill.

                                General tips:
                                * Water once a day, twice on sunny days.
                                * Plant them in the biggest field, the one furthest from your house as it's the most fertile. The nearer you get to your house the less fertile the soil is and the use of fertilizer is necessary.
                                * Don't walk on them!
                                * Crops only grow in certain times of the year. If you want to know any in particular post them and I'll list when they grow best.

Got the game this morning from Tronix, love it already. Personally I'm going for Celia as my wife. Bombarded her with flowers and kind thoughts, been a bit off with the other two.

Anybody know what those little creatures who live in the cave do?
I'm on about those little guys who you see by picking and eating mushrooms, the ones who warn you that consuming too much food from the forest will lead to their demise.
