Zelda: The Minish Cap promotional art

Somehow, the promotional art for the Capcom's The Minish Cap is already online and in hi-res. I thought the Minish cap was just a ****ty new name for the gnat hat, but these drawings confirm otherwise:

Link Hull and Emu. Pretty exciting, I wonder what effect this will have on gameplay?

That's a very good site by the way, It's got almost all the promotional art from Wind Waker in hi-res, and even a digital painting of Link from the new Zelda that appears to be done by the person who did the art for 1080 Avalanche.

It's *really* hi-res too, probably in the resolution the guy painted it in, so is perfect for making into desktops etc.

Wow. What an incredible Site. Im looking through their Wind Waker Official Art now (the enemy gallery) and they are stunning. Im quite sad when it comes to Character Art for games, have literally hundreds on my computer (admittedly mostly from Zelda and Mario ). Though wasn?t able to find any worthy for Wind Waker ? so this site is a blessing...

The The Minish Cap does look interesting. Ive not read up or seen anything much on it yet. Though the Art, as always, is nice to see

Thanks again. *Saves site to favourites*

      WTF??!

Looks 'interesting'. A lot of people didnt like the previous Capcom Zelda games (Oracle of Ages/Seasons), but I absolutely adored both of them. Cant wait for this. Whens it out?

            I can indeed!

It's a 2d Zelda game made by Capcom using the very appealing art style they developed for the original four swords, based loosely on the look of Wind Waker.

            From the e3 press release:

As he searches an unfamiliar land for fragmented relics called Kinstones, Link will have to take a closer look at the ground beneath his feet. When he discovers a magical hat called The Minish Cap, he gains the power to shrink down to the size of the Minish people, who are in grave danger. As he travels back and forth between their world and his, he'll solve puzzles, fight through dungeons and slowly uncover the evil behind their plight and vanquish it.
Not mentioned here is the fact that the Minish cap has a bird's face and likes to peck at Link's eyes.

The trailer from E3 is here:

As you can see it looks incredibly good, but Capcom have let us down in the past with their Zelda games... the 'Kinstones' in particular look like a crappy, superfluous addition to the core gameplay, just like the lame badge collecting in the Oracle series. I'm still really looking forward to this, however. Capcom's Four Swords was great, and there's no reason why this can't capture some of the same magic. Release date is estimated to be sometime in 2005.

Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons were released on Game Boy Color

AFAIK they are two slight variations of the the same game that possibly link up

Also, the original Four Swords came as a multiplayer add-on to A Link to the Past on the GBA.
