Specks of dust on the SP

My friend has just bought a new Gameboy Advance SP, and I've noticed there are two specks of dust under the screen. They are only noticable on darker colours, but that's not the point.

You would expect this on an Afterburnt GBA, but on an SP?

Anyone else have specks on theirs?

I'd take it back, dust is evil.

Plus if you were to try and open it up to get rid of it you know that you'd end up with loads more on the screen than in the first place. He should be able to take it back within 14 days.

This happened to me as well. A couple of specks of dust just right of centre under the screen. So small but oh so annoying. Bloke i bought it off was ok about it and swapped it.

As TommyG says take it back.

I have one spec in the lower right of the screen. Took me about a week to notice, but it doesn't bother me.

Thing is, she only noticed it after I pointed it out...

I had the same problem with my platinum SP, took it back to Game for a swap. Luckily they had just taken shipment of Metallic blue SP's.

            Win/Win for me that day

Oh, and shouldnt this be in the PAL thread? im assuming we're all talking UK SP's here!

It's a problem with SP's from all regions.

I wasn't aware the SP was PAL. I thought it was LCD.

Are we talking dead pixels? or is it definately just dust (apologies if thats patronising, I'm sure it is )

Definately dust. i've tried moving it with static from a sports top, but that didn't work.

                        >_<

Yeah, dead pixels. 'Dust' gets the point across quicker

                          Edit...or maybe not...?

That's because the climate is more humid there so there are less bits of dust floating about. It's mainly a PAL region problem.
