    NTSC-uk Gaming Quiz!

Time to check your gaming knowledge, kids!

    Here's the rules.

I start with a question, first one to answer it gets to ask a question. All questions must be gaming related.

First off is a double-barreled question: In the original English translation of Metroid, what were the Planet Zebes and Mother Brain called?

I'll check back in a bit to see if anyone's got it

Was zebes spelt zebeth due to the lack of a "th" sound in japanese?

We have a half-winner! I may as well fill you in on the rest: Mother Brain was called Mother Vein in the original version.

      Your turn!

I thought it was mother vein but then i thought that would have been too easy...

Im alright answering them but it takes effort to actually think of a question. Bear with me on this one...

Talking about Metroid translation errors, I seem to recall the Varia Suit is called that because they didn't know how to spell "Barrier" properly.

In 1889 Ninty started making playing cards.

Did you know Nokia started out in 1865 manufacturing paper?

Yay, I knew I read that somewhere

Ok I can't think of something so I'll pick something really simple from the last game I played....

In Goldeneye, how do you activate the floating mines glitch? (come on, that's too easy!)

Play multiplayer game, pick remote or timed mines as your weapon, then choose Bunker as your playing level. Go to the main room, look up and find the monitors, destroy them all with the mines and after that the mines float. Geez even I know that and I dont even own a N64...

Though it was never released, the Konix Multisystem (well, at least the pics I have of it) had a kinda triangular shape.
