It may very well be the best game in the entire series.

I, however, wouldn't know seeing as my brother nicked my copy before I'd finished playing it.

I never saw it again. ft:

My first Zelda game too. I'd never seen anything like it before on GB and remember being amazed that the GB was actually capable of such a game. After I finished it, I started a new game straightaway - preferably not being re-named "THIEF" second time around

I've finished it numerous times now, and it's still an excellent game

I've only briefly played the DX version, and didn't get to try out the extra dungeon, although by all accounts, I believe I'm not missing much.

That game is amazing and indeed the Best.

It is incredly epic and I have never actually completed it, its so huge.

so yeah, A must have, I have Zelda DX myself and I never figured out that graveyard puzzle either, although theres this book in the game in a house somewhere with the answer...

And also anyone remember that Dream Level bit? Where everything moved backwards? Man I must of spent HOURS on that.

and then the Fishing Mini Game, prob the best mini game in all time imo.

And the musics great too I actually hooked in the headphones and heared it right up just to listen to the egg music up the mountain...

In fact, I think I'm gonna go back to this...

Seconded... I don't think the story in WW is that bad though, as a retelling/continuation of the standard 'Link fights Ganon' story it's pretty good. Better characterization than is usually found in a Zelda game, at least.

Did anyone else think it cool that the song the Indigo-go's play in Majora's Mask is called 'Ballad of the Wind Fish'? I can't remember if we ever hear them play it, is it the same tune as in Link's Awakening?

Strangely enough, Link's Awakening and Majora's Mask are considered by most as the 2 best Zelda games ever made, yet Zelda (and Ganon) are nowhere to be found within...
With the best Castlevania being one where you don't play as a Belmont (SotN -- well, during the first 5 minutes you do, OK), I'm beginning to sense a pattern here...

I enjoyed playing this game on my old turquoise GB colour and remember enjoying it.
The graveyard puzzle is easy when you know how and the tunics are useful.
My favourite remains to be OOT though as that is my favourite game ever and i have many good memories of playing it, and opening it at christmas having preordered it.

You hear it played, but not by the Indigo-gos I think. You get to play the different layers of the tune as Goron, Deku Sprout, Zora individually, and then the game overlays Link's performances so you (and the Ingo bloke) can hear the result. And unless I really was asleep at the time, it is the same Ballad from LA.

Finished it (not DX) on my GBA for the first time a month or two back... it was very enjoyable - only my 2nd Zelda game after the original NES one. However got stuck on two or three occasions and wasn't able to progress without looking for help on the net, which is disappointing.

Problem I had was the fact it wasn't the 'Color' version, but the GBA automatically coloured certain sprites. So anything which moved, was coloured green. I'm convinced this must have made it easier than intended, as you knew straight away what was likely to be part of a puzzle rather than just part of the scenery.

Just hold Left on the control pad and press A to get it in black and white (from what I remember of playing the original LA on my GBC).

It was my first Zelda and I found it very hard, some of the later dungeons resulted in much swearing. It is also notable for having a very challenging boss compared to the rest of the series.
