Puyo Puyo Fever - DC VS Everything else - A rant

    GWWWAAAAAAHH

I've just had the pleasure of getting the Naomi port of Puyo Puyo Fever on the Dreamcast and it is LOVELY. I also have the Xbox version. The Xbox version is part of the trio of ****ty Renderware ports by Sega.

I love Puyo Puyo. ****LOADS. But look at this:

(large PNG format to show it straight from the framebuffer, no messing)

HOW CAN YOU **** PUYOS UP??

****ing look at them! Why are they 3D? WHY?

Why is the whole game some horrid blurfest in Renderware-edition? Why is the audio unbalanced on the Xbox version? Why is the 15th character COMPLETELY UNOBTAINABLE on the Xbox/GC/PS2 versions?

    To recap:

    Dreamcast
    Xbox

    Gorgeous progressive scan VGA
No ****ing progressive scan! WTF is this?? A PS2??

Lovely 2D pixel perfect puyos, really easy to see
STUPID ****TY 3D PUYOS THAT MOVE ABOUT DURING CHAINS

Full dual language support, with a mixture of Japanese/English audio/subs selectable
English is forced on you with no choice - THE JAPANESE AUDIO IS ON THE DISC!!1!one

No loading times. At all. Instant.
STUPIDLY LONG LOADING TIMES. There is a hard disc!! You have to wait about 5 seconds between each menu!

    Crisp, lovely character textures.
    Blurry PS2-stylee wank.

I could go on for hours. Sorry chaps, rant over.

Heh, its crap 'cos some intern probably did the port. I was looking for a suitable picture on Google but got sidetracked looking for "Japanese student" o_O

        lol! Legend

Honestly, the Renderware port was probably done in less than a month. Hideous.
