What a joke! "A substitute may be received of similar specification."

Surely they have to send you what you pay for?

Maybe they mean colour wise rather than them sending you a Competition Pro replacement? Still bad though.

I've an Argos 2 mins away from work, have reserved one at my local store (for local people) and will get one tomorrow lunchtime, if it's not the official one I'll just walk 10 yards take it back and get a refund

Will let you know, how much are they normally ? will have a look at play etc now .....

Local one has no official pads left, surprise surprise, got a black unbranded one instead so promptly returned it.
Guy said they were clearing all Cube stock but would restock for Xmas

I work for them, and i can tell you that they were never ment to be official pads as the "bin ticket" that we use in the stockroom describes it as a VIPER PAD, although we have got a load of the official ones that we give away with the console and they are should be 3rd party ones......

But the advert shows an official controller - surely false advertising no?

                          Its not false advertising because:

                          a) they never say on the site it is an official GC controller (it might say in the store but I'm just going from the site) it just has a picture of one.

                          b) there are many site which do not use the correct pictures but then clarify by saying item might not correspond to picture which this is basically saying.

If it is false advertising to put a incorrect picture up but then say it is not necessarily correct then most shopping sites would get done on this.
