Metal Gear Solid 2 art book

Not sure where this should go, so please move if neccessary. I finally got "The Art of Metal Gear Solid 2" today from Forbidden planet. The artwork in there is astounding, especially the official drawings. Yoji Shinkawa is really great. and talented. Quite steep at ?30, though.

Anyway, if you haven't been able to get on due to no stock (I visited 2 comic book shops before finding a stack of about 10 in Forbidden Planet), try Forbidden Planet, specifically the one of Tottenham Court Road.

Has anyone else got any gaming art books or anything like that?

not really an art book, but i just got Capcoms 3rd strike guide book.
theres loads of japanese text, but its still really nice...loads of cool screenshots, and a few peices of art, but not as much as i'd like.

I've got the western version of the FFIX artbook around here somewhere. There's some nice stuff, but I wish there was more text (like translations of all the little notes the designers put on the sketches).

It also made me wish they'd gone with completely hand painted backgrounds instead of reworked renders - some of the environment sketches are really nice.

The MGS 2 artbook is nice. I love Yoji Shinkawa's style. Although I prefer the MGS artbook over the second one. It had more pages and a greater number of full colour works. Plus it had Meryl in a sneaking suit.
