I'm in a bit of a slump recently. Only way i'm getting by is through buying a Dreamcast a couple of months ago and hunting out the classics for that, and replaying a couple of PS1 games i haven't played in ages. The Gamecube never really gets played much due to crappy european release dates and the fact i've played the heck out of every game i have for it. Seriously considering getting a Freeloader and buying Tales of Symphonia (which is apparently getting a eu release near november) and Megaman Anniversary Collection (which isn't, ever, unfortunately.)

I do have renewed hope in my GC over the coming months though. According to most shopping sites, the day after my birthday sees Animal Crossing, Starfox, Custom Robo (which I never even knew was getting a Europe release) Zelda 4 Swords and Pikmin 2. Just gotta hold out until then.

My official Sega fishing rod arrived from Play Asia this morning. Break out the lager, the slump is over!

Mr Rock, you've got to get yourself a Freeloader or mod your cube buddy. You could be playing Four Swords, Pikmin2, Animal Crossing and SoT right this very moment. Well, if i were in your shoes, holding out for these said games is a request which wouldn?t actually be possible... heh. That's just my personal take on it...

          On a side note...

Although, saying the above, i usually find that waiting for a nearing release, as the anticipation builds and builds, i usually play quite a bit more. If its a sequel of some kind i tend to re-play the previous titles (like re-playing Metroid Prime in anticipation towards Prime 2 or re-playing OOT and WW for the next Zelda or re-playing Metal Gear Solid for the next title... etc) The anticipation within the waiting, although terribly painful, is one of the very things that usually drives me out of my slump mode.

As i mentioned on the previous page... i am really enjoying my gaming at the mo, my returned enthusiasm is most welcome and there are quite a few titles which I?m desperately looking forward to so cant really see me being in slump mode for some time now tbh. Hurrah.

I`m in a slump, but thats because I`m sick of killing people. Yes, the endless waves of violence that our industry is famed for has made me a bit sick of it all. Am looking for something a bit more cerebral to get me back in the swing of things. I only fear that I`ll be sucked back in due to the rash of army and soldier games making there way onto each format which means, hey ho, more killing. Oh Dear...

I'm in a slump. Bought myself a nice Xbox the other month, played, and finished Halo dozens of times, then just went off of gaming. While it's not total, I just can't be arsed to play anything that I've got. I just think I need something epic to get to grips with. Only problem is I can't really afford to buy anything at the minute.

Can anyone recommend anything epic and compelling for the PS2 or Xbox (Pal only I'm afraid) that will keep me hooked for ages?

If not it looks like I may have to turn to my old friend Final Fantasy VII once again to keep me amused.

                  Gaming slump?
Yes, gaming IS a slump......in your life. It's like sitting and watching TV for hours. I just can't be bothered with it. I'd prefer to be doing something more productive. I don't play games nearly as much anymore. I'm putting most time into Xbox Live and some Zelda stuffs. I really want to distance myself from computers and stuff, but there's so little to do where I live. Argh.

That might be my problem, too. I don't want to just sit down and amuse myself, I'd rather be writing something worthwhile or working out.

That also explains how some people--myself included--prefer writing about games on message boards such as these, as opposed to actually gaming.

And yes, delb3k, you MUST play Animal Crossing. Or some golf game. There are a ton of non-violent options for video games out nowadays.

Hell no.... I'm a bit gutted over LoC and wondered, "What am I going to do now?!" but that's an easy question to answer! All I did was pick up some other titles, I have plenty.

I'm loving F-Zero GX right now, playing with other cars. Having got drifting almost down (again, damn my body for not remembering how to play ), I've managed to beat most of my previous records and some more staff ghosts.

With a nipper about, it's hard for me to sit down and dedicate some real time to play some games but F-Zero is perfick Pikmin 2 is another "drop by and play sometime" title, lending itself to quick rounds of "let me just get some more red 'uns, then I'll do the dungeon tomorrow" style of play I also have quick rounds of Mario vs. Donkey Kong on the bog, along with a bit of Advance Wars 2 if I've had a curry the night before

So no, no gaming slump for me.

I just never find the time. Every night after work, or everytime i have a day off, it seems i have 101 things to do, of which about 5 (if that) get done

My sheld is adorned with shrinkwrapped titles or games that are opened but only half played. Still got games for my GBA as well, that need playing >_<

nor me, two kids mean I don't normally sit down to play games until 11pm onwards, have more problems deciding what to play rather than having nothing to play

It's like ive had 2 days off work this week (yet i only work part time )

On Sunday i took my g/f to go see Spiderman 2 as she wanted to see it

Tuesday (Yesterday) i sat in front of the PC, and pretty much played Ground Control 2 all day. I woke up at 11am, next thing i knew it was 6pm, and my day had gone.

                            Off to work now...again

I was in a serious slump after xmas, but things are starting to pick for me now with Powerdrome, Richard Burns Rally and Samurai Warriors currently keeping me busy atm. Though I have Full Speccy Warrior sat unopened waiting to be played.

I kinda just stopped after i completed Mario and Luigi (which i must add was simply sublime) Admittedly, it was probably due to doing other things like going to the gym, training, drinking and spending time with my girlfriend (well, ex girlfriend now...) but when i had some free time i didnt have the urge to play anything...
I hear that. I went through a similar phase myself recently.

I have a pretty busy social life anyway, but it has recently become HECTIC. For a while, I couldn't motivate myself to play anything when I did have any free time. I was starting to think I was losing interest in gaming altogether.

My sister then loaned me her copy of Wind Waker; I started grudingly but eventually got really into it. I've since ditched that half way through (will return at some point...), having gotten fed up with all the collecting and frustrated at the game expecting you to know about things it doesn't even tell you about. Right now, it's all about Viewtiful Joe (I could kick myself for waiting so long to indulge what is probably one of the sweetest games I've played).

So in short, CBA to play WW.
