    Voice controled game (PS2)

I saw a rather promising game on Cybernet last night where all the controling is done by voice commands.

Can anybody put a anme to the game and tell me if its any good or not.

Isn't that LifeLine for PS2? Was it a kind of survival horror game with a girl who you talk to via mic and tell what to do? Looked a semi-interesting game, except voice recognition needed some work from the videos I saw of it.

            Lifeline thats the one.

I heard some news about it a year or so ago and it was looking promising then.

            Nowhere has it listed?

Does not look like its going to get a PAL release. Most likely the same reason Hey You Pikachu and Seaman never hit the UK.

They reviewed it last month in Games TM.

4/10 but they seemed to like the ideas, just poor execution.

Not so poor execution in my view.

I have the game and really enjoyed playing it.
It?s a mix of solid and interesting gameplay and some extremely frustrating moments. (because she doesn?t do what you yell into the microphone)

The voice recognition worked fine for me, despite my german accent and bad pronunciation.
(I also needed a dictionary from time to time to find some words - but you Englishman should have no problems with that I suppose )

I know there is a PC demo available where you can give the voice recognition a try.
(sorry, can?t give a link - try searching for "LifeLine demo" or similar)

Hmmm... I read the review in GamesTM. I just get the impression now that Sony want to keep in the mainstream through their casual gamers via. gizmos.

Or alternatively Sony attempt to introduce new ideas to gamers that will encompass everyone.

Would you be saying the same if it was Nintendo, for example, doing it ('cos they sure are a bit miffed about the eyetoy shenanigans)...?

Fair play to them I say...

                      Super Mic Chan perhaps?

That's a voice activation game only - It has been out a few years though, mind you.
