I'm assuming that some of you have either played this in Japan or at ECTS, according to Konami's site(which is very poor) it's due to get released over here soon. I was wondering how it plays in comparison to the home versions.

I think its based on a simplified revision of the Winning Eleven 4 engine?

yup, it is based on a simplified WE4, but with much nicer graphics.
The card system makes it very fun indeed (although i keep getting leathered by the Japanese (i either win a tight struggle 1-0, or get creamed 5-0/6-0/etc...
)
