Be nice to read the one on CM though.
    An article on me?

I don't think Edge have ever reviewed a Champ Man game. Kinda weird to do a big article on a game series they seem to have ignored up till now...

Nice read though, wonder if they'll do a follow-up CM5 vs FM2005 review/article nearer christmas?

In my opinion, no, nothing interesting. As usual.

There's a big feature on Championship Manager (WTF!?!), which just about sums up Edge in general really. (irrelevant) The Treasure article is pointless with nothing new to offer. News as usual totally out of date.

So unless you want more of Edge's usual snide remarks and bitching, then I'd pick up another magazine.

I've been buying Edge from issue 1, but I'm very close to cancelling my sub now. Games TM is better, but even that is basically pointless and I only pick it up for the sometimes interesting retro stuff.

I've never really been into Edge. Sure, i've bought it a few times, and it was a good read, but others it's just been a bore. I did find the articles more interesting than the reviews, and as this has a big one on Metroid Prime 2, I think I might pick this up.

Actually, is there a new GamesTM mag out soon? I might pick that up instead after reading those comments.

I'd beg to differ, as would the millions of players of the game. With the recent split from Eidos and the upcoming FM2005 vs CM2005 head-to-head this is a very relevant time to cover a gaming phenomenon they haven't touched on at all before. Plus its a rare example of a game with a very real and substantial cross-over into real life, and one played by many people who wouldn't touch 'normal' videogames. I found the article interesting, both as a videogames fan and a football fan. And obviously a fan of the series

Only to you. Would you prefer it if it was about an unheard of Japanese J League football management game. As a videogame magazine in the UK, CM is very relevant.

It is a print magazine - of course the news will be out of date to someone who uses a forum like this!

Isn't your post a tad bitchy?

I think it is a sign of the times - many years ago, before the interner, magazines like edge seemed exciting. You are now older, hopefully wiser, get news daily to your screen. A print magazine will not necessarily hit all the buttons an old magazine might have done in the past.
