Waluigi will finally reign supreme!!!

I'm rather happy he's included in the new game and it does totally remind me of Whacky Races. The "chariot of evil" will be Wario steering and Waluigi dishing out special attacks.

Anyway it still dosen't look as "liquid molten hot" as F-zero.

Well I really don't like the new look. I liked the fact that Mario always drove a realistic Kart. This just turns it into another cartoon Kart racer. Still gotta play better than it looks.

^ theirs always one, if the game stayed the same im sure that their would be complaints too.

Nintendo know that the series was getting stale and wanted to add something new to the mix and i think its good that they are trying as we all know that if it was just a Mario Kart 64 update then it would still sell.

You have companies like EA and Konami that are happy to keep the same games and give them a graphical update and release it again.


The idea of switching players mid race for weapons and speed depending on where you are placed is a great idea. If you are last you may want a character with strong weapons, if you are first you may want a fast character to keep your lead.

What i am wondering by looking at the screen shots is if its going to be in the style of South Park Rally with open courses or classice Mario Kart style round and round tracks.

Either way Nintendo to me have put a lot into this game both graphically and gameplay wise.

^^ if that's the case then they should change the name from Mario kart to "Mario silly looking vehicles". The fact they changed the vehicles so radically MUST mean it will handle totally differently. If that's the case then it ISN'T a MarioKart game as we know it. Or what most fans are waiting for.

Yes, I applaud them for wanting to keep things fresh, but there's fresh, and there's totally changing something. Fingers crossed it plays like a dream.

All I want now is a nice update of Pilotwings using something like the graphics in Mercedes Benz World Racing. Now THAT would be sweet.

looks like the "partner" does the attacks, I 99% sure Mario is "dropping" a banana skin on that screen. would make more sense than it coming outta the back I guess.
