I have some of the rare saturns (both the skeletons, V, Hi) - would they be more impressive if I signed my name on them or does it specifically have to be a signature of someone important?

I've got a lot of nice things in my collection like a pair of DC Twin Sticks, a Hi-Saturn Nave etc but to be honest... my most treasured possesion (sp) is my Super Famicom, Super Mario World and F-Zero... all lovingly imported from Japan when I was 12 or so after an entire summer of being a slave in old ladies gardens and not eating sweets etc.

It was my second ever experience with importing after a kindly relation brought back a famicom and super mario 3 from Japan for me when he finished working with Kawasaki or some such company only to spend a long, long time figuring out how to get it all to work.

It was worth it... it was all worth it...

Dunno about treasured. I have some gear that's worth quite a lot, but I don't dribble over it. I'm glad I got RSG before it went ridiculously expensive, but only because it's great and I'm happy to have it, not cos of its value. Same with my Neo Geo games. I like my debug PSX because it's prettier than a grey one (it's a lovely shade of dark blue), and that's it really.

My most prized possession is my Neo Geo, I suppose. The fact that I both 60hz modded the machine and added a debug chip makes it very dear to me - despite the fact it's worth considerably less than a boxed, mint Japanese one, it feels like one of those cars people soup-up to be better than they were, whilst still retaining the classic look on the outside. I'm proud I actually improved a console with my own hands.

Yep, I'd definitely say the consoles I've modded successfully myself are my most prized possessions.

ooooooooh a debug psx allways wanted one of thoose.I can understand what you mean about modding your own consoles and them being dear to you.
I've also always wanted a neo geo but the pice of teh carts really is above what i could aford.

I've got loads of 'prized' gaming possessions. Some valuable. Most not.

But if I had to pick just one it would be my Samba de Amigo box set. I've had so much fun with it at parties and with 'non-gamers' that just looking at the box brings a smile to my face
