Half Life 2...well I haven't preordered it yet but I've come close every time they say it'll be out soon. So next time I probably will preorder it. But I don't tend to preorder games these days.

PC - Half Life 2, Rome: Total War, been waiting for these two for a looooong time.

PS2 - PES4, Gradius - curse this being my only PAL console... what a pain I have to wait for Gradius

XBox - Burnout 3, Halo 2 - sequels to two of my fave games - gotta have

GC - Paper Mario 2 and I'm sure there's something else that I can't quite remember.... Edit: seeing other peoples posts that would be Metroid Prime 2.

That lot will probably see me to the end of the year. I don't buy anywhere near as many games as I used to. Don't have time to play them so much anymore.

PC - HL2, Vampire Bloodlines

Xbox - Second Sight, Burnout 3, Fable, Halo 2, POP2, Silent Hill 4, Outrun 2

Gamecube - Paper Mario 2, Metroid Prime 2, Donkey Konga

PS2 ( stuck with a Pal PS2 ) - RE Outbreak, GTA San Andreas

GBA - Zelda The Minish Cap



RE4, MGS3 ( at least a PAL release ), Killzone and STALKER would also be in there but they're all delayed till 2005 - just as well as it'll give me a chance to play all the above

Like I said, I just don't know which to buy as must have and which I can wait for.

HL2 is a no brainer and a must have day 1 purchase for me, but I'm seriously considering trying to hold on until Chrimbo for Halo 2

Jak 3 will hopefully follow the same formula as Jak II and not be a collect em up fest that the original J&D was. I have already seen the intro movie and it looks like it will be fantastic.

Sly 2: Band of Theives - Apparantly a less linear experience that its prequel, this will feature more 'heist' type missions compared to the traditional platforming of the original. Along with Jak, Sly Cooper is one of the best characters created during this generation.

Paper Mario 2 - The original Paper Mario sold about 15 PAL copies and I am lucky enough to own one of them. Perhaps it was too easy but as long as this sequel contains the humour, battle mechanics and suprising mini games of the original I will definitly be picking it up. If it is similar to the vastly overrated Mario & Luigi, I will probably give it a miss.

I don't care for Jak, but you're bang on with Sly - the first game is a hidden gem & I'm very much looking forward to the second.

Thats what I'm worried about. I just know if I don't get it, it'll be going round and round and round in my head until I actually get it in my grubby hands.

I'm trying to hold out till Xmas to get the same Christmas feeling I got playing the first one ( as it was Xmas 2002 when I got my Xbox and Halo )

Just have SMTIII: Nocturne on pre-order (by accident). None of those big ones for me. I'll pick up some games to fill the gaps in my library (Kaido Battle, Maximo vs. Zin, Bujingai etc,) and wait for the Gta's/Resi's to drop in price.
