Stupid handles you give your game characters.

Playing FFTA, the character at the start says: "You can't be called 'New Kid' forever!", so of course, when the name select came up, I just had to be 'New Kid'.

Oh, and in FFVII, I called Red XIII 'Nankai' so that when you get to Cosmo
Canyon the guys say: "What, Nanaki is Nanakai?"

I just started playing KotOR for the second time, knowing what goes on I decided to make the anti-Malek. I called him: 'Mike-lek.' (after myself and Malek, of course).

What do you call your characters when you're pissing about?

I did it with FFVII, after that I got all serious. I miss the fun days of Dirk, Fanny and Mr. T (Mister Mr. T when the dialogue allowed for it), Punkass and Aeris.

Its always funny to call them really childish words like "poo!". I remember doing that in pokemon: "poo has sent out pikachu!" Ha.ha.ha. I always call the main guy in rpgs Jezz, but I usually leave everyone else the same except Robo who I called R2D2.

i always call the main character by my name and the lead female character ie the luv interest by the luv of my life. Petty lil childish thing i do to make it more emotional and challenging, Cos if the bad guys steal my girl im not jus gona kill im gonna hurt em first!

Sub character i name with me m8s names or celebrities............

Actually, i should name a few of them with forumite members names. That way i can live out the future today - like owning saur on Evo! or owning Tom salter on SF3! Has to be done really come to think about it, i can get my victory pose ready for when i own them for real! ^_~

If there's a cat or a dog, I always name them Pepper after my cat. The main character gets my name, and the lead female sometimes gets my girlfriend's name.
Apart from that, the first playthrough these days is always kosher. I remember playing FF7 for the first time, and giving all the characters the names of my friends. When it came to talking about them online, it took me a while to work out who people were referring to with Barrett and Tifa, etc.

my girlfriend's obsessed with giving her pokemon stupid/endearing names... i think my favourite to date is the tentacool she called 'come back!', so the battle text ends up going 'go! come back!' and 'come back! come back!' and stuff.

On rpgs I usually give the characters their 'proper' names first time through, then silly names second time through. Tunch, Beffin, Valge, Mullo. Stuff Like that.

Uh, compared to some RPGs those aren't silly; they're positively straight-forward and plausible.

I can just see the latest Squenix "comedy" RPG (a la Threads Of Fate or something) - "Tunch and his best friend Beffin are off to retrieve the Amulet of Valge from the evil sorceror Mullo"... I can practically visualise the game just off that.

In KOTOR, there's some people who name there character 'Plotting to kill you'. So when they're in a cut-scene with Carth at the start, they get the killer line :

Carth: "Hi, I'm Carth Onassi, what's you name?"
PC: "I'm plotting to kill you".

Playing through OOT for the 4th time or something, I named link "Zelda" simply for the Princess saying "Zelda... that name sounds somewhat familiar".

I took great delight in changing the number plate of my car to "****" in Metropolis Street Racer.

For some reason I thought it would be cool to change my number plate to: "1337".

                            What was I thinking?

I called my wind mage 'WIND' on Disgaea.

I think you can guess the rest.
