My Anticipation Thread

A little selfish I know, but quite a few things have prompted me to post this, the Doom, Fable, HL2 and Prime 2 threads amongst many others, and then I saw Nintendo's release schedule today and considering how much of a fanboy I am, and I know how 'great' most of the these games are gonna be, but I'm strangely salivating at the prospect of Prince of Persia 2.

The games 'new', dark and evil look seems very impressive, and if they can keep the similar ideas and premise behind the gameplay intact I reckon it'll be just as great SOT.

Here's to POP2, my most anticipated game for this Chrimbo!






(and a quick mention to Footy Manager, but thats not really game is it?)

Didn't think it was possible but I'm looking forward to Burnout 3 and Out Run 2 far far far more than GT4.

Halo 2 will hopefully be a peachy experience, I might even have got round to starting Splinter Cell:Pandora Cell by then, it's sitting screaming at me to play.

At the moment the two games I want most in the world are Halo 2 and Fable. If those where the only games I could get all year, I'd still be one tickled-pink mother****er.

Beyond those two, I'm highly interested in KOTOR 2, Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders, Half-Life 2, PoP2, GoldenEye: Rogue Agent, Demon Stone, and Conker.

I am looking forward to Paper Mario 2 and Outrun 2 though.

I cant wait for Half Life 2 and Halo 2 to come out, im not going to buy them it'll just stop the continuous threads with hi-res graphics which always lead to the its not the in game arguments.

I don't like the dark mature look of the new PoP. I prefer the light hearted, bright, colorful, humorous PoP SoT. I liked the prince's interactions with Farrah. That looks to be gone in this sequel.

I don't like how games are making sequels that are darker in tone. Jak 2 was another.

Half Life 2, Halo 2 and Rome: Total War all have me very excited at the moment. Particularly the two PC games given there seeming imminence.

I'm playing Halo a lot these days as 'training' for Halo 2. Not that I need it as I've played through the game loads of times now. I'll start Halo 2 in Heroic Mode, it's challenging at that level but still fun.

I'm playing Burnout in anticipation of Burnout 3, practicing ramming the AI cars into oncoming traffic and stuff.

Then on to Half-Life 2, I'm still watching the videos and they are every bit as impressive even now. I'm trying to save up for a PC first.

Before Pro Evo 4 comes, I'm trying to win the Master League in PES 3.

Damn I can't wait. This has to be the best Q4 line-up ever.
