I tried to trade the XBL Project Gotham 2 Starter Kit today which has PGR2 + manual, a headset, and obviously a 12 month XBL sub. I took it into GameStation and asked what they'd give trade in and was told I cudn't trade it in as I didn't have the 12 month sub. So they basically wudn't accept PGR2 in a different box with a headset. Now fair enough u might think, but they'll gladly sell Eyetoy Play with "Included with Eyetoy" and are perfectly happy to sell u games without manuals and the what not. Why was this XBL 12 month sub so important? it's not as if PGR2 is an online only game or anything, tho Play REQUIRES the Eye Toy. Seems totally stupid to me. GAME wudn't accept it either coz they expect ppl trading a 2nd hand XBL starter kit to still have an unused XBL subscription... muppets!
Also argued for 15 minutes as to whether my official N64 composite cable was for an N64 and not a GameCube (despite their being the perfectly noticible difference of it being black for a GC) insisting that you can only trade an N64 in with an RF cable, so that means they'll refuse something with a better picture quality and stereo sound purely coz it's not an "ariel cable" despite the fact that my N64 came with a composite lead due to being one from the first batch of consoles. so jus got pissed off with them and walked out.
