Gaming equipment/consoles you have broken or messed up.

My brother has broken 2 x-box controllers in a fit of rage.
I let my tony hawk 3 get scratched and now i can't watch rodney mullens ending.
I have broken my megadrive trying to get the sonic 3d (flikies island) cheat to work(if you hit the back of the megadrive a screen comes up).
And my brothers freind threw his master system out the window....

What stuff have you broken/****ed up??

    Nothing.

I've never seen the point in destroying gaming equipment in a fit of rage (neither has a game ever driven me to it).

It's a bit like cutting off your nose to spite your face.

I did destroy a walkman once though, so my halo isn't that bright.

It dosn't have to be stuff you've destroyed in a fit of rage, it could be an accident or maybe experemental-like those backlights for the original GBA on triton labs internet site.....

My remote control hit the deck and smashed into fragments when I had the unfortunate experience of playing through quick-saveless PS2 Max Payne, but apart from that I've never willingly broken any equipment.

Official Xbox controllers are well solid and I imagine would take some breaking, don't think I've broken anything, lost 2 Xbox discs last week, still haven't found them, so annoying, grrr

I lose loads of games just through being careless. I lost PGR2 and champ man 03/04.

Immediately went out and bought another PGR2 but thought it would be a bit silly buying another champ at this late stage..

Gamecube Wavebird, stick bust taking on Fire Leo - all that duck jump action was too much for it the bland coloured wimp! And yes it did get thrown across the room in disgust. Anybody know how to fix wavebids...

Blew up a Japanese PS2 by overestimating the power of my stepdown, had a one-motor dualshock for a long time after failing to beat my survival record in Tekken 3 and the pad hit the floor, other than that I've only knackered an ironing board (that had a steering wheel clamped to it) when Guitar Freaks was taking the piss out of me and I had to hit something. Lucky the wheel wasn't damaged, the board just collapsed.

I spent a **** load of cash on Street Fighter 3 3rd Strike, the arcade version. If you dont know already it comes on a cd-rom with a security cart. I was checking out the disk when it first arrived and just put it down next to the sofa (in its cd case) as i was in the middle of a game on the xbox. After my go i rested the controller on my lap where it proceeded to fall off right onto the 3rd Strike cd....cracking it in half. I couldnt ****ing believe it. I didnt even get to play the ****ing thing....I'm still quite annoyed by it.

That's harsh, I'd have probably killed myself at that point. Was the game pretty new at the time?

I've only ever busted pads via snaking on F-Zero GX, I went through 3 pairs of L+R triggers in 2 nights or something daft. Bagging the technique alone cost me ?70 (2 pads and a Wavebird), more than the game itself.

Neo Geo CDZ - just by, umm.... trying to play some games on it

                      Notoriously unreliable!

Normally I just smack and kick my bed when games piss me off but I did break a Gamecube quite successfully. The disc drive overheating problem came up and I was trudging through Resi 0 at that point. We all know how much that needs to load, so having to get up, open and shut the lid every 30 seconds was getting old. So after much of this I opened the lid and slammed it down as hard as possible.

The Cube never ever switched on again.

My PS2 is sadly on the verge of dying too. All I did was use a DVD-R'd WE7i* three times and now it barely reads a thing first time.

                            * Before anyone accuses me of piracy I can post pictures that I actually OWN the game for one thing, and for a second the DVD-R was only burnt so I could play the X-Patched version (http://wefantasy.altervista.org/)

went through quite a lot of ps1 controllers back in the day. must have been over 15 in 2 years.

my dad also broke my ps2 a few years back - as a punishment, and a few months later went out and got me another one!
