    GAME have mucked up

It looks like silly old GAME have done something very stupid, they have sent out reward card vouchers to lots of people twice.
Both me and my girlffreind both received 2 letters each with a voucher in it.
I also overheard a GAME manager turning down one guys vouchers down saying that the serial numbers are the same so he has to keep one, so I think they know about it.

my reccommendation is use them separately, or in a debenhams concession GAME,cos they don't put the serial numbers through their till.

I've had two lots of ?7.50 spent one yesterday and was going to use the other in Debenhams like you say.
How could they be so stupid, however serves them right for such high prices.

Something else I realised ages ago, if you buy a game and then take it back under the 10 day thing you still get the points, so do this a few times over a year and your quids in.

Depends on the store. The points are meant to be deducted when you return your product, by putting back through your loyalty number. Only problem is, it effects staff loyalty percentages i.e. we get a bollocking, so in most stores, aye, you are correct :P

yeah itshandy that, I have my own game return whenever-i-damn-like policy. Took back killswitch and Galleon back the other day, the odd thing is I seem to recall buying kilswitch from Toys R Us 10 minutes before hand. mwahahah

Not wanting to defend the faceless company I work for but that's rubbish. They charge what every high street store does and if it is cheaper elsewhere they'll match it.

However if we're talking pre-owned then yes, I agree.

You'd have to be a mug to pay high street prices. ?30 a game at Amazon, often less for slightly older titles.

True, and I shop abroad to get the games quicker and cheaper still
But comparing the prices of a high street retailer with a internet site is ridiculous for obvious reasons.

The loyalty system is great. I did a stint at EB a few years back (before it changed to GAME) and was due to leave on a Friday, which was the release date for some big PC game (can't remember which).

So with this knowledge in mind when ever anyone pre-ordered the game who didn't have a loyalty card I put it through on mine and put my number on the pre-order card, so when this person came to collect their game the staff would take the card and automatically put the number through (oblivious to the fact it was the same number each time). So I ended up with double points on all these sales and a massive voucher at the end of it (about 85 quid I think). A nice return for working my ass off for that ****hole of a company me thinks

Some guy at the offy I do part time work at was SACKED for "Nectar Card Fraud". Not ****ting you. He was scanning his own nectar card through on each transaction that the customer did not have their own - with "No Nectar Card Card" scrawled across it.

Couldn't make it up. Surprised GAME don't bollock you :/

In Somerfield the other week the check-out girl was doing exactly the same, I didn't have a loyalty card so she put mine through on her card.

Being a git I reported her to the store manager who was probably in on the scam as well.
