I haven't played the full version of Outrun 2 yet but it deserves a 9 if the demo is anything to go by.

Possibly to do with it being utter ****e compared to other rally games on the market. 05 is basically what 03 should have been in the first place, I've never seen a developer so slow on the uptake.

Have you played it Rich? It genuinely is pretty awful, The sense of speed is virtually non existant and the handling model is atrociously bad. In all honesty it would get lower than a six from me as its got major faults with the aspects that define a rally title from a generic track racer.

I've played the Xbox version briefly and I didn't see anything 'wrong' with it in that time. I have too many games to play atm so I won't be buying it for a while anyway, but I would like to buy the full version.

I've been a big fan of the CM rally games for five years though so I'm very biased

Star Wars Battlefront gets an 8???? I'd love to see how they justify this considering the single player game is terrible and the online modes are (so far) pretty woeful?

Shame about the new Rocky game, the first one was very enjoyable.

Meh, i got CM05 on Friday and it's the best of the series for me. The handling is better, the single player is beefed up and the online play adds even more of a lifespan to it. I love the new German rally stage too. A 6 is fair enough if they feel it's too similar to the last game but for heavens sake, it's a rally game. You drive a car through mud, there's very little new you can add each year.

Wow, an issue of Edge with mostly non controversial scores. They must be slipping.

Only one with seems odd to me is Out Run 2. I've played it a lot lately and it's leagues ahead of Burnout 3 in every resepect. It's not that Out Run 2 is over-rated at 8, just that Burn Out 3 is massively over-rated at 9.

Haven't played the full version of that Star Wars game yet but the demo on the Star Wars DVD was surprisingly fun. I thought it was going to be completely awful but ended up enjoying it.
