Anyone else bought Home Cinema Choice magazine this month (November)?
There's a 4 page article (one page is a big picture) on the Xbox and chipping, well, to be honest it's mostly aimed at converting an Xbox into a media centre, but it goes into some detail about the modding and home-development scene, even giving step by step instructions with pictures of how to fit a Xenium chip. Truly now Xbox modding is mainstream.
For anyone so inlined, they run the Xbox through the HCC labs test, with all the usuals (jitter, S-N ratio, Chroma etc...) given a rating from excellent - poor, as well as listing all currently supported media and data formats. Worth looking at in Smiths, if not worth buying the mag for.
The article isn't great, but will make the Xbox sound a lot more appealing to some people who might have considered it 'just a games machine'.
