Donkey Konga - PAL Release

I know for some of you this will be old, having been out for Jap/US for a while, but I saw it for the first time this weekend in my local Gamestation - and loved it!!

Was quite embarassing actually, standing there and so blatantly enjoying banging away - got some funny looks!

Anyway - I don't have a Gamecube, but might have to buy one now - anyone seen any good deals around?

And how much do the Bongos go for by themselves? Fancy a 4 player setup!

People who like the game will probably still be excited for the UK version due to the new licensed songs that appear exclusively in it - the same applies to every version, and for this reason I know a few people that will end up with 3 sets of bongos and 3 versions of the game.

It's quite good fun from what I've played on it, but being (very) into more technical music/rhyhtm games (Beatmania IIDX, Pop'n Music) makes it look a tad shallow in comparison... I'd still like to pick it up at some point though.

May well be out Friday to coincide with the Donkey Konga launch.

Not sure about seperate bongo's. If we get them i guess they'll be around 20 quid mark.

Is it out on Friday? My girlfriend really wanted the bongos round her house, for her and her dad. But she couldn't get the freeloader to work. So I might treat her.

Is out this friday, 37.99 for DK with tarukonga (probably be called drums tho ) 20 quid for extra one i heard. and the Cube package above sounds about right aswell..

Just hoping the track listing is better than the tosh on the US one and they have the proper versions of the songs they use, again, unlike the US one. Jap DK is teh love.

My gamestation doesnt have a Cube pod. So gutted I wanna display my skills to the kinder

Hate to upset you, but the UK version uses covers for all of the licensed songs as with every other version of the game. Admiteddly I didn't notice till my second go at "Alright" that it wasn't actually Supergrass, but... yeah :/

It's basically due to it being cheaper to license the song and get some in-house artist to cover it rather than paying up for the original version of the track.

cant wait to get the pal version and play it properly, i've had the jap version since last crimbo running on a action replay (so no saves!) Can't wait to play the mini games and understand the menu's fully
