but it made me start trying parries of multiple hits (i can only parry air attacks as i can see them coming a mile off!) like parrying ryu's super fireball and whatnot.

it's obviously gonna take me a while to get like that, especially as there's no arcades near me so all i do is play against the cpu

People should just watch that, it's amazing. I've not really ever followed beat 'em up genre as i imagine all the gamers as people who just didn't move on from the SNES classic.

I've got a video of someone parrying every Super Art in the game with Akuma. Oro's glode did look super hard. I got it here.

I've only got in 2D fighters recently, but have a lot of love for SF3 at the moment. It just feels so right

On the parrying note, anyway want to clue me up on the timing for red parrying. I get the concept, but unsure of the method?

Wtf is this red parrying? I've never seen it, or done it.

Its where you block the first hit of a multihit attack, and parry the next hit. (Shinku hadoken, hurricane kick, spinning bird kick etc) Quite tricky to do due to timing is differnt from a regular parry, but helpful

Oh, and you flash red after you do it.

Coolness, yes.
Also the same reason you do a normal parry, in that you don't take no damage from further hits.

Although, i err on the side of caution and don't bother with it within a regular bout, since my regular parrying is teh ****e-o. However, if the other guy pulls of Chun's SAI/ SAII or whatever, and i know its going to 'chip' kill me, i might as well try a red parry.

I've only pulled it off... once succesfullly. Then subsequently fluffed my timing on the other 2 hurricane kick hits.

Ah nice, I managed one tonight, nowt special :P It was in the middle of a shinkuu Hadouken, so went by pretty quickly

On a side note, is it me, or in the PS2 version, after you've completed it once the game gets 10 times harder?

If there's one thing that bugs me about 3S is the completely whack CPU opponents.

Another grumble is Gill, once he was unlocked he was subsequently banned from versus matches, he's a complete barstool. Take Urien, take all the skill away, ramp his damage up, STUN you in 3 moves and have a SA which is an utter pisstake.

I knocked Gill out of his Angel SA 3 times in a versus match and on each occcasion he retains his super meter o_0

I wonder if it can be parried, Ex_Mosquito?? There's a challenge for you.

On a happier note, i played teodi for a few rounds this afternoon and my Q pwns his ass good and proper. Here's what he had to say "...................(Cough!?)..." Sorry folks, Q's got teh flu >_<.
