      Oh, I dont know....

"Upfront discussion on the very latest videogame releases."

I was trying to start a topic to get people to discuss the release of this new game.

We like to have people making a First Play thread when they have impressions to give. It's just our way

Personally...I'm not so interested in the game. To be honest I thought it'd be released with more of a bang - I had no idea it was even released!

IGN rate everything over the top tbh, gamespot give it 8.8 which is a pretty good review(they gave sc2 8.6) i'm personally looking forward to playin the orginal dead or alive like i used to at the back of my arcade again

It could be fun online. Watch the IGN vid review, it goes into some depth over how the online modes will work, and it sounds interesting.

Not sure how long I would play it for though. The novelty may wear off quickly as it's yet another re-hash from Team Ninja. They haven't made a new DOA game since DOA2 on the Dreamcast... every DOA game since then (excluding that crap volleyball effort obviously) has been a remake/rehash/rerelease.

And I got bored of DOA2 on the DC a long time ago.

DOA Ultimate? even if it's online enabled it's gonna be ultimately boring. if i find it cheap some time later i might consider a purchase because i dont own the first DOA, which looks even more bouncy to me

i would recommend Team Ninja to better stick to the Ninja Gaiden franchise or come up with something new soon. this permanent recycling of old games is embarrasing and does the Xbox no good.

DOA just happens to be one of the biggest selling game on the XBOX.

Got my copy from the superb Play-Asia today (three days from Japan to UK with no extra charges)

I will test it tonight, as I cannot get on my XBOX at the mo.

I got a little Kasumi Figure dressed in the XBOX cloths with it as well as what looks like a DOA Ultimate, plastic sleeve lol...looks cool though.

The package is nice, two seperate dics boxes in a cool fold-out cover.

All in all, loooks like a bargain for the money.

Played the demo a few days back (should have the final game some-time this week).
Not much has changed from the DC DOA2.
New costumes, arenas etc, but its still pretty much the same game.
Looks as gorgeous as ever tho. One of the new arenas is a swinging rope bridge (a la indy) and when you twat your opponent off they fall to the next tier narrowly missing a poor squirrel (would've been cool if you could land on it!!).
Need to play the final version to see what they've done to the original DOA.

got the american version today, it also comes in a cardboardbox with 2 seperate dvd cases in it.
looks very cool, and also come with a two month live trial.
gonna try it in a few mins.
