i think thats a little harsh on ubisoft to be honest

sands of time and splinter cell are two of my favourite games

they both have their flaws but are cracking games in my opinion.

i felt pandora tomorrow was a slap in the face when it came to single player but the multiplayer mode was mint

    anyway, back to the topic....

i feel for you, i am notoriously bad at problem solving in games, i hate puzzles

but one of the things i hate most is missing a switch or whatever

Just had a similar problem with Link to the Past - had to get this book off a bookcase. Couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get it off. Tried bombs, arrows, sword, ice beam.... it just wasn't budging. Turns out I just had to run into the bookcase and it falls off. Great.

Shenmu on the DC, where you are in the barbars shop. The barbar goes on abit with this speech of whether you trust him bla bla bla, anyway a Quick Time Event button occured where it showed "B" on the screen. He would lunge at you with his blade, and i reacted the same each and everytime.

I always pressed it. absolutley stumped and thinking i timed it too late. It was only after god knows how long i was trying to do this, someone knocked on my door at my halls i went to answer it. came back, and i had succefully compleated it :| Turns out, you didnt have to press anything...bastard.

I just had another of these moments on Four Swords where you have to hammer down those mole things in the same pattern as a bunch of jars next to them. That was annoying enough, having spent half an hour on it. So I left it on while I got my tea (GBA plugged in so the batteries don't run out) only to come back and accidentally take out the whole battery pack as opposed to the wire. Ahhhrrrgghhh!

So yes, I go through it all again in super quick time, only this time, at exactly the same spot, the godamn piece of **** EB battery pack decides to pop out all by itself! For****sake - you don't even get a chance to plug it in again before it goes back to the title screen.

Just to complete my moaning trilogy - my cd player has decided to skip on the first track of every cd I own.

Finding a door switch on the original Tomb Rader, took me hours to find it cos it was a tiny texture on the wall, and wouldn't appear if the camera was at an angle. took me hours to find it.
The Goldeneye thing happened to me as well...
