Does anyone know if Baten Kaitos is going to get a PAL release? I wanna know whether to wait, as the Freeloader does my head in!

I eventually decided that playing as Mario AGAIN was, well, dull as dishwater compared to the fresh experience that Tales had to offer. Although I haven't had chance to really get my teeth in to it yet as much as i'd have liked to have (probably played about ten hours since Christmas), what I have played is classic: lovely graphics and music, great characters and dialogue.
To me the game has a feel, character and freshness that has been missing from games since the Dreamcast days.
It's great to know that I can look forward to playing The Thousand Year Door sometime after completing this classic!

Heh, Tales was my Christmas RPG. Took me a month of playing or about 55 hours I think before I had it licked. REALLY enjoyed it all the way through. Yeah, it's a pretty vanilla story, but the characters and everything really make it a winner. Some of the stuff Zelos comes out with had me in stiches

I started Paper Mario last week, and after being pretty unimpressed at first, I'm now totally absorbed by that, too!

Yeah, I had ToS for Xmas. To this day, i've only played around 3 hours due to lack of time! I want Baten Kaitos too, mind you.

But, really, go out and buy a BBA and PSO. Great fun

April, according to Game's website. I still have not started the game though, despite having it since November. I don't know why, it's probably just one of those phases that I go through from time to time where I can't get into a certain genre. Or it could just be RE4 and MGS3 .

Anyway, what's with all this ToS bashing? Sure the plot's not exactly original but the combat systems is fantastic and the soundtrack isn't too bad. It's also a very nice looking game imo and the visuals make it a very charming experience. The only problem I had (aside the plot) was the fact that it doesn't really pick up until your a few hours in, but then your hooked for a good 60 hours or so. I'm looking forward to an equally fulfilling experience from BK.

              Paper Mario all the way.

ToS is very generic. I have it, but I don't want it because I know I'm not going to spend a substantial proportion of my life playing Yet Another RPG where a bunch of kids save the world.
