Ha ha, I wish. Put it this way a large part of my list contains existing IP being re-used, wasn't aware that was a bad thing though despite the proclamations to the contrary.

It's cool though, I'm sure these guys would have been happier if Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Animal Crossing, Paper Mario, Smash Bros, Pilotwings 64 and Pikmin 2 to name a few weren't made as they're all obviously "rehases".

Maybe it's in the interpretation, but I always thought a rehash was re-releasing the same game (Mario Bros 3, Zelda LTTP on GBA etc). The continuation of series and use of original characters is no bad thing in my book.

I also bet everybody saying they're sick of Mario et al will still buy the new Mario platformer upon release too

As for my list for the "rehash" ridden GBA, there you go Ginza.

Aye on the harder difficulties that is annoying as f*ck! The racing is definately better on the cube ver, jus a shame about the battle mode for me and the course design jus doesn't feel as inspired as it used to. Some are fantastic but then there are tracks I jus sigh at when the teaser vid loads. I've spent far too long on DD tho. I reckon I've clocked goin on 100 hours on it now inc single an multiplayer, have completely finished it several times etc.

Anyhow, to get back on topic the games I most want are mostly the same as Ginza's bar Ridge Racer which looks and apparently plays like dogs

There's the 3, hopefully 4 Japanese launch games (that I must have told everybody about 17 times, heh) in Made in Wario (watch out, rehash alert, despite Made in Wario 2 just getting a 9 on this site), the puzzle game Hotofchan, music rythm game Band Brothers and hopefully Mario Kart.

In the near future, the two that appeal the most are Pac Pix and Balloon Trip. Despite looking very simple I am hugely intrigued by Namco's new Pacman game, looks really interesting. Yoshi looks typical Nintendo quirkiness and fun.

The doctor game Tendo Dokuta looks fun, though I may have to wait and hope for a US release. Advance Wars (uh oh, rehash) will be swish, as will the original 2D Mario.

I also like the look of the new Kirby, Nintendogs and Peach games.
So quite a few then, leaving out stuff like Metroid and Ridge Racer that I'm not keen on.

****, quick edit. How did I forget about the precious?
I want, and need, Animal Crossing
        I adore that game.

I missed out on the whole Animal Crossing phenomenon so I want to pick that up. Mario Kart of course, as well as Wario Ware and Viewtiful Joe.

One game that is very high on my wants list and has so far been missing from the thread is Snowboard Kids.

Yeah i am looking forward to the Mario Karts, Metroids, Animal Crossings and so on, but for me Snowboard Kids is where its at.

Now if Rare was to update Jet Force Gemini and i was to get a new version of Silicon Valley i don't think the world would ever see me again.

I'd really like to see a Super Monkey Ball for the DS. I never got into Jr on the GBA because I really couldn't get used to the d-pad and buttons for controlling the board. But I think using the touchscreen you could have a nice analogue control to make it play like the GC version, and I would like to have SMB on the go.

I have a new idea for a puzzle game on the DS. Hifotude looks the nuts and I want that one - But this could be pretty cool. The top screen is purely utilized for your current score, level and the next puzzle piece that will come into play. But this game is about the touchscreen, and I am keeping the bottom screen empty of anything except the puzzle.

Right so basically the bottom screen is a 15 x 15 screen of white cubes. On the top screen the next puzzle piece if revealed. It is also made of cubes. Now your job is to make room for it on the puzzle screen using the stylus. By tapping a cube it is removed from the screen. Obviously you want to try and make the shape of the next puzzle piece so that it will snugly fit in. Once you have cleared the space you then drag the puzzle piece into position. If you can't fit in a puzzle piece you lose a life. 3 lives and you are out of there!

You get a certain amount of seconds to remove your cubes. You then get a certain amount of seconds to drag the new piece into place. These time limits are reduced on later levels. It might be worthwhile allowing the player to remove 2 x the number of cubes of the puzzle piece to begin but this eventually gets reduced to number of puzzle pieces + 1.

There might be room for some dynamite pieces to clear multiple blocks, play with colours, 4 player head to head could be slotted in - Plus a a one on one where you choose your opponents next piece.

Hi scores are the name of the game though obviously.

Iv been looking through my N64 collection and would like the following to be 'rehashed' in to DS versions.

                      1080 Snowboarding DS
                      Wave Race DS
                      Excitebike 64 DS
                      WWF No Mercy DS
                      Mario Tennis DS
                      Diddy Kong Racing DS
                      Track and Field DS
                      Ocarina of Time DS

Make them and I will jism on my face.

I'm sure Nintendo will be cracking on with those right away Ginz, now you've asked so nicely.

I'd rather see new ideas designed to take advantage of the DS's features though, not piles of N64 ports with a couple of obligatory touchscreen features. So instead of just tacking a DS onto the name, why not give us some ideas of how you think they could be enhanced CONSIDERABLY on the DS.... ?

I, for instance, would like to see a version of Streetfighter on the DS. It's gimmick? For all special moves you have to hold down a charge-up button whilst you yell the special move's name into the mic

It'd add very little to the game, but would be highly amusing for wireless linkup games on the bus.

                        TATSU MAKI SEN PUU KYAKU!!!!!!

Get the pronunciation wrong and you explode, or turn into a duck for a bit.

                          That would be hilarious.

Nintendo sign up FreQstyle now. How ****ing awesome would that game be?

                            Anyway..

I can see some pretty huge potential tapping away avec stylus with Track and Field because its famously a thumb basher.

1080 and Wave Race you could maybe do some sick tricks with the stylus going across the screen in different combos.

Actually I think "Rubbing" could be encorporated quite well for a Track and Field game. Sega should port Decathlete or Virtua Athlete to the DS and have a rubbing motion to pick up speed then tapping a touch screen graphical button to jump, throw or anything else needed (or press a shoulder button).
