I have no interest in it for the movies. Looks like there isn't going to be any disadvantage in picking up either a Japanese or US model over the European version.

A new Ridge Racer is enough to entice me. It's been too long...

Apart from that, Metal Gear Acid certainly looks interesting amongst the current launch line up, though I suspect as with the PS2, it'll take developers a good while before quality, original titles start to appear which fully take advantage of the hardware.

I'd rather have the American version anyway then. On the off-chance that I bought one and wanted to watch movies on it, I wouldn't want to be restricted to BBFC-cut stuff (although admittedly this is happening less and less).

Good point, Lyris. As much as (despite hanging out here) I rarely import games, I usually insist on the US release of films. So a US PSP with no game region restrictions would be ideal for me.

Still, I'm probably not buying one until I've tried out Wipeout Pure, anyway.
