GT4 - UK Release only 2 months away!

Okay, so it's out in Japan now, and we get it on Feb 25th.
    • It's got Progressive Scan (up to 1080i on the Jap release), and 16:9 Widescreen
    • Phsyics/handling, graphics (and supposedly AI, but who cares) are all improved
    • It now features some of the most challenging race tracks in the world, including the notorious N?rburgring (the one I've been waiting for)
    • It features more cars than ever before
    • It's got old classics like the Merc 300SL Gullwing, Jaguar E-Type, Toyota 2000GT.
    • It's got more recent classics like the original VW Golf GTI, Ford GT, McLaren SLR, and Lotus Carlton(!).
    • Muscle cars are back, and now come with a drag-strip to prove them on.
    • F1 cars are back, and in greater numbers.
    • It also looks like most convertible cars (including mine) can be driven with the roof down!

For the UK release I'm still holding on for Porsche/Ferrari to make an appearance, Aston Martin to include the DB5 and DB9, and some chav-tastic hot hatches form the late 80's and early 90's would be nice.

So er... Why's no-one talking about it besides the thread about the screen options?

Don't say that! I'm working in Prague till March, so I suppose if it must be delayed, it won't be that bad. But still...

Anyway, I'll hop over to the first play forum and torture myself further.

If they don't include an NTSC mode this time around they (Sony) should be shot.

But they'd have to include two copies of it on the disc!

The PAL conversions have always been pretty good to be fair. The original GT was actually better than the Japanese version, which had a fair amount of slowdown due to tyre smoke etc.

And don't count Ferrari and Porsche being in the game, either. Presumably RUF are still in the game? So there is your 911..

Yep, Polyphony did us proud certainly with the PAL GT3 on. I bought the US versions of GT1 and GT2 though, cos my machine was chipped and I was an impatient little pup.

RUF are **** though, I hate modded cars. It may be a 911/Boxster underneath but it's not what Porsche intended, so I never bother with them. We want the originals!

Seems like the US release is February 23 only two days prior to the PAL outing
