    Lazy developers

On Friday night I had a few mates round and we where playing Burnout 2 crash challenges, which is great fun. Apart from one thing - I have a multi-tap and 4 controllers, but Burnout for 4 players wants you to pass the controller round. To me this is lazyness beyond belief and I found it to be a bit of a joke, I mean come on its so easy to knock beer cans over with cables.

    Cheers,
    Neil.

    Lazy? Nah.
Ran out of time? More than likely.
Told what to do by the people in charge? Yes.
Do the people in charge care about mulitplayer controller options when coming up to submission? Nope.

Sometimes getting the game out is more important than its content. Does it work? Yes but.. **** it, ship it. Losing 3 dungeons in Wind Waker? Thats not going to be 'Moto's desicion now is it? ...

    Sad but true.

This is Acclaim your talking about, the biggest crap developer on the planet! I don't think laziness begins to sum up their problems.

thats quite a big generalisation, esp when you consider the jump that is BO and BO2. Quite a big one IMO.

Worms Armageddon on the DC at least required on 4 player games that every1 shared the pad in port 1 despite the console having 4 control ports, thankfully this was rectified on World Party but little things like this do slip thru, but if a games due to go gold before someone realises, do you delay the game a fortnight sending potention game owners onto something else rather than waiting another week or 2 or jus ship it anyway as it's not fatal?

I know what I'd do, even if as a punter I'd moan about it.

Except Burnout 1 & 2 were developed by Criterion.

With a middleware engine, which should improve turnaround.
              Surely they had the time.

Ok Criteron got lazy but Acclaim is the scourge of Western Developers. Though they are run slightly better than Sega...
