Just to throw a spanner in the works of the recompiled theory - apparently the Master Quest ROM has been dumped from the GC bonus disk and can be played on a real N64 using Dr V64. So it *is* emulation.

Sounds like bull, but if someone proves me wrong I'll not lose any sleep over it.

One thing I would say is - if Nintendo bundle Mario64 with their next Mario game they're guaranteed mega sales.
