Keyboard and Mouse on Playstation 2 ?

My favourite genre of games has to be First Person Shooters, on the PC - great, on a console with a controller I am pants!

Is there a way to connect a keyboard and mouse to your playstation 2 console and use it on games.
The only thing that worries me is setting up the controls configuration. If a game has been made for the controller (obviously) can you just set the controls for the keyboard, the game I am thinking of at the moment is Killzone.

I was about to say... there exist first person shooters worth using a keyboard and mouse with on the PS2?

You can connect a USB mouse and keyboard to the PlayStation 2, but the games need to support a keyboard and mouse for them to work. The only games I can think of that support them are already out on the PC (Half Life, Deus Ex, and Unreal Tournament).

All is sorted, there is a nifty peice of hardware for both the PS2 and Xbox called SmartJoy Frag that enables you to connect a PS/2 (PC type connection) keyboard and mouse in to the console and play any First Person Shooter games, if not any game !!!!
