Perfect Dark certainly deserves a write up, that'd be dead good.

Rare's soundtracks always are spot-on btw.

I think that Paper Mario (N64) would be an ideal subject for Time Extend.

My choice for Time Extend would be Vagrant Story for the PSone.

This is what I don't understand. Hasn't Goldeneye been written about enough by now? Would yet another piece on it be able to tell us anything that we don't already know, or present it in a new light? Doubtful. Same goes double for Mario 64. That's why this month's is disappointing, for me. Edge never seems to stop talking about Sands of Time, especially recently.

I'd much sooner see the space given over to brilliant games that haven't been bigged up to death. Guardian Heroes is a good idea (although I'd sooner see Dynamite Headdy get the TE treatment, given that even Treasure fans hardly ever bother mentioning it). Something that's never been done justice by the printed gaming press.

If Edge did a one off collection of Time Extended it better not be just a collection of ones already printed but all new ones.

Vagrant Story, Guardian Heroes, Dyanmite Headdy and ICO are all great ideas.

I was disappointed to see Sands of Time so soon, as well. I believe the philosophy of Time Extend is to shine a light on games that didn't do as well as Edge thought they should have. I doubt we'll see anything pre-N64.

I hope I'm dead wrong though.

To name a few more titles that an in-depth examination might be of (fairly modern) interest to the reader:

Panzer Dragoon Saga. Rez. Silent Hill or Silent Hill 2. Soul Calibur. Viewtiful Joe. Grand Theft Auto III. Metal Gear Solid or Metal Gear Solid 2. Wipeout 2097. Gregory Horror Show. Manhunt. Jet Set Radio. NiGHTS. Grim Fandango. Planescape Torment. Project Zero. Siren. Phantasy Star Online. Soul Reaver. Ring of Red. SOS: Final Escape. Frequency. Gitaroo Man. Shadow of Memories. Beyond Good & Evil.

I'm sure a few of those have already been mentioned in this thread, but those are some games which might benefit from a further look in.

All these game are great ideas. Edge writes these articles so well, that even having completed Eternal Darkness two times, I read the Time Extend twice. It's more like a tribute, and they're damn fine ones at that.

Perhaps I'll email this thread to Edge after it has run it's course.
