Its apparently the new issue which has hit the shops ahead of schedule. Wonder when I'll get my sub copy.

Sounds like Oddworld may be something special.

It will really have to be though, coming after many of us have played Resident Evil 4. A rather hard act to follow, to say the least.

I would say it's *so* good, that you really need to either let it score 11/10, or shift everything else down accordingly. The bar has been raised way, way up.

As for the rest of the scores, the only games I've played on the list are KOTOR 2 (which I would give a 7 or 8), Scrapland (which I really can't get into, so would give a 3 or 4 at best), and Sawaru Made in Wario (7/10 sounds about right).

ouch 4/10 for neo contra. Mind, despite this and my previous apprehensions about the game i'll still get it. it harks back to a classic era of gaming and i'm a sucker for run and gun games.

I think Resi4 will get a 10, especially if Strider's comments are anything to go by Will have to wait until next month I guess!

How'd Lone Wolf get a 7? I've been playing a lot of it, and it's not special at all. The new feature where you can climb buildings and take over other mechs is cool, but everything else has been done in the previous version. Still not Mechwarrior without the traditional PC view IMO.
