Master edition of Ocarina of Time

Apologies if this has been touched on before, I did a search that didn't answer my question.

What is different about the master edition to the original Ocarina of Time.

When it was released I got about half way through OoT but then got bored and moved onto other things.
However I'm more into single player games now and am ready to retry OoT.

Is it different enough that I essentially get 3 games, or is it more of a version 1.1 of OoT?

    Cheers

It's essentially a remix of OoT. Some of the dungeons have been moved around a little bit, to make them more tricky than the originals. Don't be expecting a whole new game though, if you didn't like the original, this version won't change your mind on the game.

But if you are a player who hasn't played OoT or the Master version which one should you play???

You sir, are a lucky man

Go for the original, and play arguably the best game ever.

Some of the dungeons are tough enough as it is.

Play the original first. Some of the best parts of the Master Quest are the way the dungeons are mixed about which play little in jokes on people who have played the original. For example, in the first dungeon, one room is exactly the same, except in the treasure chest where you get an object to help you on your quest, you only get a mere rupy. You have to search the room a bit more to find out that the obkect is hidden somewhere else .

Definitely play the original OOT first, it's not THAT tough, and you'll probably fall in love with it like 99% of people have.

After that, try Master Quest, it's tougher, sometimes far too tough for my mind. the Forest Temple just sent me insane.

They're both top stuff. Enjoy it

The dungeons are quite a bit harder. I had a discussion about this with four similar Zelda nuts, and we agreed that in Master Quest there are harder enemies. For example, in the Deku tree, the little scorpion-like creatures are usually just in the boss room when you're fighting the boss - now, they're littering the dungeon. Also, I (embarrasingly) died in the Deku tree! Oh well.

Master Quest is like a remix - like with music, if you loved the original album, the remix is probably gonna be good. If you weren't fussed about the original, then the you can pass this remix by.
