Righty, there have been hardly any xboxes availible in the Uk for ages now. I just realied that next month is the 3rd anniversary , which means....limited edition colour packs.

They blue pads have been availible for a few months now, so it seems only logical to me that it would be the blue colour console they use.

Seems like a likely choice does the blue colour..

However the black Xbox's are back in stock everywhere nearly anyway - and all the other limited editions have been just that - sold alongside the black Xbox as a choice..

Do you have a big ASDA? I got one from the one in Harrogate last Friday, and I think they had a few there.

Gamestation had some, but I declined after being told I'd have to spend ?130 for a machine and a game I didn't want. Pff.

We do have a big asda, but people run there when they don't find any in the city.

I don't need one, I work in a games shop from time to time, and it was an observation

I'm hoping that's true. I decided that I wanted an xbox the week before Christmas after playing Outrun 2 for a good half hour in Virgin. Only problem was that by then you couldn't get an xbox anywhere online or in my locality. You can get the black ones in a few places but they're still seems to be a shortage and well balck ones are a bit meh.

Heh, similar thing with me, mate. I've been debating getting one for the past year, but always seemed to fritter my cash away on old Saturn games or something. GAME had crystal ones with Outrun 2 for ?110 (I'm sure, maybe ?120) late Nov/early Dec but I had Christmas presents to buy so thought I'd put it off until January. Well, you know how the rest goes.

Now that I've got a black one I quite like it. It's just finding space for the damn thing amongst everything else

Well from my experience of work X-Boxes are coming back in stock now. We've had a steady supply since mid January.

The reason for shortage is due to Sony. The sheer amount of people coming in for a Slim PS2 over Xmas, only to be told "eBay- ?200+ if you want it", saw a sharp spike in Brick sales. Microsoft didn't anticipate this huge demand and they ran out...

heh Xbox was the only console you could buy new in Coventry all January. How the f**k did Nintendo sell out of cubes? Must have only had 3 in the entire city for xmas or sommet.

I popped down to a Comet near my work but they didn't have any. None on the website either. There is another branch not too far from where I live so I'll give that a go at some point.

I didnt know about the blue pads either and I used to work in Comet!, I'll need to have another look.
