Looks like they are now offering the us system for $299.99 canadian, which is pretty good

you have to take a game with the package and it will be shipped via DHL as did the Nintendo DS

just preordered the system with 2 games (gta & gt4) and if you include courier shipping the total cost was around ?213

which is pretty good value - especially as you most definately wont get stung for customs duty, i didnt get stung anything for my ds order from them

Did you guys who bought DS's from VG+ get stung for import duty?

Id strongly suspect you would get stung for import duty, Im going to factor about ?40 into my overall calculation.

reckon 300 including tax and handling fees ... so not too shabby

my ds arrived with no charges and i loved it and even if you do get charged DHL as the best for duty charges

my total for the psp, 2 games and DHL shipping was only $505.96cdn

cant believe DHL shipping for all that is only $65.99cdn (?28.28)

i thought courier shipping was way more expensive than that

Is DHL "Worldwide GB : 1.1 lb(s): $65.99CDN" then? Why don't they just call it dhl to stop confusing people? I preordered one along with wipeout and Ridge Racers. Might also order mercury later.

That's what worries me. If customs open the package and find it's not what it's described as then we are liable for whatever amount customs see fit to charge. I'd much prefer if it was marked as 2nd hand or faulty to actually compensate for the declared value.

Also is the Ape Escape game on their site a 3D platformer or that Mario Party style effort recently out in Japan?

Need some URGENT help everyone. I want to order one but I dont have a credit card, and I dont have enough funds in my PayPal account atm (can transfer tomorrow though - when do they withdraw?).

I've actually spoken directly to HM Customs about declaration invoices and apparently second hand goods are NOT exempt from VAT. So marking a Customs form as "used" or "second hand" has no bearing on whether it gets charged duty or not.

I didn't ask about faulty goods however... maybe I should. But I suspect it may not be exempt either...
