Your most embarrassing completion times?

I've just completed ninja gaiden on the xbox and it?s just taken me forever. It was just a struggle at some points I just found it really difficult I'm not sure why though either. My final completion time was 39 hours and 19 minutes, which is just embarrassing. It shouldn't have taken half that time I think. So has anyone else got any completion times that should enter this hall of fame?

Took me almost a year to complete Ocarina of Time back... whenever it was. It's not like I was even getting stuck, it just took forever!

And I seem to recall taking well over a year to finish Super Mario World. In my defence I was only 11 or something and crap at games, and Mario Kart/Bombmerman practically lived in the SNES at the time.

Halo took a year. although in my defence my first child was born and built an extension in that year so not a lot of spare time (honest!!)

I brought Ico on the weekend it was released after the EDGE review and seeing the special edition.

I brought a PS2 two months later.

After playing the game and feeling sick after the ghosts kept taking Yorda I left the game on my shelf as I could not play it.
1 year later during the summer and a month off work I decided to play it. I adored it and it's now one of my favourite games ever made.

I tend to buy a game and like it but leave it. After a few months I tend to get it and then play intill completion. Other games like that are Metroid prime, Resident Evil the remake, Dead or alive Xtreme beach vollyball, P.N.03 and a load others!

Wind Waker, tbh.

Like many, I got to the bit with the 8 triforce shards, contemplated the sheer tedium that awaited me and... went to play something else.

This was last summer, and I can't see that game getting touched again until a gaming lull comes my way....
