    Feedback Forum

I'm sure NTSC's reviews receive a lot of hits but have always wondered why most non staff members do not actually post there?

I'm under the impression that many feel the writing does not need justification and that it stands on its own merits. What does everyone else think though?

Reviews are very subjective, so I think it's important that they have the opportunity to generate feedback. The reviewer's words can't always be taken as gospel, so for someone else who has played the game, and perhaps enjoyed it more (or disliked) they may want to offer a second opinion in the feedback forum.

if i read a review i will always try to put a comment in.
if somebody takes the time and effort to write a review and doesnt get any thanks for it, i would imagine thats quite annoying.
i understand that everyone can tell that the quality is high here, and perhaps thinks theres no need to praise the writers even further...but if the writers feel nobody appreciates it, why should they bother?

Its also useful for the writers to explain particular things in more detail if somebody has specific questions about a game, which is much better than just producing huge reviews in the first place imo.

Thanks for the comments so far. Im primarily interested to see non-staffs opinion on this for the moment and will make it a temporary sticky topic for a while.

I try and leave feedback for the reviews, but I only normally leave feedback for the games I have played. That way I have a greater understanding of the game in question and can understand where the reviewer is coming from.

To be honest I never had a problem with someone slating one of my reviews. Providing the feedback is constructive it can be very helpful; anything along the lines of your views are **** (which fortunately was a very rare occurance) were simply ignored.

Constructive criticism can be just as good as glowing praise to help you out with your writing skills
