Should i get a saturn?

As in the title? Ive never had one b4 and i belive that NiGHTS is awsome.

Anyone recomend any other games etc.....

Whats the best PAL, NTSC etc?

If i buy a pal machine is there a chip for it to make it play any region games? If so were can i get it done etc..

Yes, definitely. Get a JP one, or get a chipped/switched UK one - you'll definitely be wanting the JP only releases.

Consolepassion.co.uk have a boxed UK version for ?45 and a Modified one for the same price. But I think the bloke who runs it, is away on holiday.

That website has a lot of good boxed items.

there are lots of good games for both pal and import, i would just get a switched one to enjoy both

plus lots of pal games can be bought for maybe ?2 so it makes for economical gaming

Maybe. The Saturn was a very exciting console, especially in the last 2 years of its life in the UK but a lot of the best games have dated and no longer have the impact they had back then. It has some good 2D games though and some very special RPGs but a lot of the best games are quite expensive!

There's a lot of guff on there, but some great games too. Lemme reel some of my favourites off (and bearing in mind, I have fairly limited experience with the console...)

Without a doubt, it's one of my favourite consoles of all time. I'm going to list some games for you!
NiGHTS
Panzer Dragoon Series (1, Zwei, and the almighty SAGA)
Dark Saviour (respectable, yet cheap RPG)
Burning Rangers
Dead or Alive
Fighters Megamix
The Shining Series (Which includes Shining force 3, parts 1,2,3. 2 and 3 are JP only, Shining Wisdom and Shining the Holy Ark)
Oh, and Segata Sanshiro. I love those adverts so much, and if the game is anywhere near as good as the adverts, it will be a hilarious experience!

EDIT: YES! Guardian heroes is one of the most addicting games ever!

Virtua Fighter 2 is still a great job IMO.

Sega Sanshiro Shinken Yugi is also fun for a while. Not much depth but amusing, although very hard to find. As are a lot of Saturn games now. Expect to pay a fortune for Radiant Silvergun, but it's worth every penny.
