Pretty much every time my m8 wants to play footie on his cube.

Sad thing is, the concept of FIFA Street isn't that bad, it's just that the current implementation is seriously off what is potentially possible.

Oh. I just automatically asussmed you meant PS2 or XBOX. I think the Gamecube is a different kettle of fish, as nothing but EA football games (Fifa 200X, Euro 2004, Ufea Champ League etc) spring to mind on that format. I know Winning Eleven (6 or 7 FE?) is avaible on import but again, which parents or kid is actually going to go out their way to buy the game, plus a freeloader disc, plus a new memory card.

I know its a sorry fact but Street will sell stupid amounts of units because it has arugably the most talented footballer in the world today on the cover and it has the word Fifa in it.

Nah. It'll sell stupid amounts because it says EA in big letters as if it's some kind of magical viagra gas on the cover.

          THAT'S the sorry fact.

you mean the free kick system which allows you to easily score from absolutely 100% of free kicks and thus entirely ruins an otherwise OK game?

I found PES3 to be unplayable anyway. FIFA 2005 is better than it, and PES4 is better still. GC WE6FE is the best of the lot.

although nothing is close to SWOS

Its one of the worst games I have ever played

              Absolutely shocking!

Well, yes, fair enough but Konami could obviously fix it up a bit :P As it stands Pro Evo's current free kick system, if you can even call it that, is a wasted opportunity.

I know this is off topic but Pro Evo has a perfect free kick system! You can't score everytime but it goes in the general area you kick and you can control basically everything the ball does, spin, dip, power etc. Nothing wrong with it in my eyes.

                    it's a bit like catholicism.

it's so vague and no-one really knows what it's all about.

er, not really. it's just hit and hope. or, if you're not Beckham, PASS IT as there is such a ridiculously low probability of scoring even if you do everything perfectly, that it's really not worth shooting.

in about 400 matches on PES4 I've seen two free kicks go in. TWO. I'd say that at the very least suggests the system is "deeply flawed if not completely broken".

the useless free kick system, combined with blind and lenient referees, has resulted in the game being played very cynically and negatively both on- and offline - it's ok to foul people because you're simply not going to be penalised in any way for it.
