MGS3
Resi 4
Republic commando (i want to really like this game...)
and official launch of DS

what does anyone recommend?

RE4 is one of the best games I have ever played, it has gripped me like no other game for a long time. I can't remember the last time I finished a game, only to start again straight away. It's that good.

And get a DS as well, they rule. Mario 64DS is worth it for the mini games alone. That catapult game is class and addictive as hell

Without a doubt Resident Evil 4. And if you've got the resources left, Snake Eater.

yeah it'd be between MGS3 and RESI4.

Absolutely RE4. Far and away the best game there on every level. Makes the rest look like something from the previous gen.

KOTOR 2 is okay, not too bad. Maybe you could pick it up budget sometime.

As for DS, well it looks like it's going to play host to some pretty cool and very novel games through the year. So far it's really only got a few games worth having, so if cash it tight hold off and pick one up in a couple of months. If not, pick one up with Wario and Yoshi.

Yeah playtime can be ace, the staff actually know about games, plus they have a mint LTTP on the Snes I am thinking of buying pretty soon.

One problem with playtime is it can be full of scrubbers on a saturday trying sell scratched as **** games.

Get Resi 4 it's the best game around at the moment and for ages.

MGS 3 is good but I've started to really hate that top down camera. Not in the same league as Resi IMO!

Resident Evil 4 without a shadow of a doubt. It's genuinely new and refreshing while MGS3 is just another iteration of the series.

Ive only just completed it so you'll have to forgive me when I say I believe it's the finest game ever made!

Also it made me cry at the end... The first game to have made me do so.

Jesus, Resi4 has totally dominated this thread. I will have to buy it myself once I get my RGB cable back off my mate (waiting for him to finish Prime2).

Sorry Master Chief, after MGS2 I felt totally robbed. I'll probably give 3 a bash at some point but it's not on my to play list until 2010 probably.

I know Metal Gear Solid is a marmite game, but I really reccomened it to everyone.

You will have to watch the cut scenes and codec conversation's though because that's part of the game but it's one of the finest examples of storytelling i've seen. Although Resi 4 is just as great though! It's a fantastic action game and definatly more immediate than MGS.

Ive brought MGS3, brought Resi 4 and re-buying it for PAL release, ordered a DS along with Mario 64 and im intrested in Far Cry and along with the DS and Mario 64 I want to buy Wario ware, Project Rub and Mr Driller.

This month is going to hurt my wallet a lot!
