    DS Release dates

Constantly being playing on my DS with my friend **** loads.

We mainly lopve the touch screen ones, Wario and Zoo Keeper, Shame Wario has no Link play.

Anyway all night we also been scannig site after site comparing release dates and I must say nintendo are very slow on releasing any other worth to buy games.

Next worth buy is Yoshi and thats not till end of May... Pretty sad seeing the release date titles will probley wear thin after a month or so.

Anyone else think the release date on the spread of titles is pretty slow?

Nothing else to play on it till May.

the DS is region free - so why not import games so that you get them earlier (Yoshi is out now, as is Meteos - Electroplankton is out early next month - Ridge Racer DS is available ......)

The EU lineup for DS was pretty impressive imo, especially after the dire US one. If Mario 64 DS can keep me goin over 3 months, I don't think u'll have any problems with the EUR DS lineup

That's hardly fair. The US DS launched first, nearly half a year before the EU one so obviously there would be less software ready.

With the DS being region free there really is no excuse for anyone to be whining about EU release dates anymore. Import, import, import. And all will be good.

The funny thing is you can get the game

                1) for less
                2) sooner
                3) sometimes with a pre order bonus

                if you import.

Not everyone wants to piss about with Jap text I'd imagine, theres only ever been a few games where I'd import Jap. Sin & Punishment, F-Zero X, R-Types/Delta, MGS & Tekken 3 is all I ever bothered with I think. Oddly I found Jap MGS more atmospheric to the US one. That's why I've been bitching about the current lack of DS games in the US, especially compared to the East.

Japanese text is rarely a problem with non-RPG type games. Take Catch!Touch!Yoshi! as an example. There's some (very easy) kana on the title screen, that's it. The rest is in English, but even it is wasn't the game is a doddle to work out.

I never give it a second thought, especially as I know I'll be getting better cover art and possible freebies too as well as the much earlier release date.

I have Meteos and Pac Pix in the post. Can't wait!

I tried the DS yesterday for the first time, and although the touch screen is pretty nifty, the actual console was a bit disappointing. Only tried Wario, Mario and Metroid, and only Wario showed any real promise.

The only three games I'm interested in are Band Brothers (which I want in English for the edit mode), Pic Pix and Meteos...any idea on PAL or US release dates? No point in buying a DS until these are out, really.

edit mode in Jap is easy after a short burst of testing every button!
The touch screen, along with the shoulder butttons, makes it all really easy to compose something quickly.
