I was remembering that Black Box was it? or Vicarious Visions were swallowed by EA, I'm guessing their first rather transparent output was FIFA Street, my housemates rented it over the weekend, and its pratically identical, except for a few things, to Sega Soccer Slam, anyone know? It all gets a bit foggy once new devcos are almagamated into EA.

A game gets ignored at retail but give it a different name and slap Sporty McWankpants on the cover and everyone rushes out to buy it. -

ITs very similar, down to the Super slow mo mega kick for stringing together combos. However, like Soccer Slam, its just that little bit dull to play, and any skill is completly diluted by the right analogue trick producer. Philosophically you're meant to "mad skillz" the opponent, but frankly, its just too dry an experience, also its quite visually buggy, with similar wierdness you got with soccer slam, I.e. the ball would just ping off someone, then actually ping off their head.Comment

Isn't it more similar to the adidas street soccer game released for Xbox & PS2 last year? Can't remember its name, was quite fun though.Comment

Soccer Slam was Black Box - just before it got swallowed by the EA whale. If FIFA Street is their work... well, probably best it doesn't have their name on it, eh?Comment
