Recommend a decent xbox magazine that comes with demo, please.

Hi, i currently subscribe to edge and like most gamers do a lot of research before buying a game, although reviews can't always be trusted you can use them as a guide to something terrible or completely the opposite too, really i would like to buy something that comes with a demo of up and coming games because there is nothing better than having a see for yourself, so, if you could please help me to tell me what is considered of if you have any experience with xbox magazines and demo, thanks!

well obviously there's the official xbox magazine, not the best mag by any mean's but it does the job when it comes to demo's.

There was another magazine which was a sister mag of OXM but i can't remember the name right now.Xbox gamer? i'm sure somebody else can help me out on this.

Only OXM has playable demos. Most of the others have a DVD to watch but nothing to play. Depends what you want.

Xbox Gamer's closed now. I think they announced it in MCV about a fortnight ago.

XBM claims to have playable demos, but checking the small print shows that they're just PC demos of certain Xbox titles.

You can download demos, if you have a chipped xbox but if it a unchipped xbox you can't do that.

since OXM is the only mag with playeble demos, i suggest that one

don't by any means subscribe to it. some months have nothing but **** crammed on the disk

and don't, whatever you do, read the mag. you can literally feel yourself becoming less intelligent by reading it

Thank you all for all your help and input, i'll try xbox magazine to see if it's ok, and of course for a demo disc, just i always feel like i am missing a good game here and there, i guess i will take your advice and have a glance before purchasing, but i think that the magazine might be sealed, i'm not entirely sure, which means i can only glance the front cover, anyway, once again thank you.

they normally list the games on the disk on the front or back of the sealed bag

when a new issue comes out i glance over the contents of the disk and decide if it's worth getting from that

for instance, i hadn't bought a copy for a while and then one came out recently with splinter cell 3 and unreal championship 2 along with a load of others. i wanted to play both of these so i put down my 6 quid and got an evenings fun out of them

mag is crap though (although not nearly as bad as the horrendous official ps2 mag, which is written by retards for retards)

Yes, future publishing send me a ps2 magazine every now and then and i didn't particulary enjoy and well it didn't come with a demo, i guess it might be worth buying every now and then for the demo disc though?

Just recently i have gone into a slump of reading far more about games them playing them, i don't want to blame prince of persia, but everyone said/says it is amazing, so i bought it, and i found many aspects of the game disappointing and i lost alittle bit of faith, my own fault really, then i struggled to play anything because ninja gaiden was magnificent and i guess there aren't many games that beat it, in anyway, but i am coming to expect not to expect too much from certain games, i don't mind if there not near perfect like ninja gaiden so long as it is fun, which i didn't get from pop, anyway, thanks again for your advice, it is appreciated, thank you
