Mario Kart Arcade in Meadowhall?

A friend told me yesterday that Mario Kart Arcade GP is up and running in Meadowhall's Namco park thingy.

Any truth to this or am I being conned?

If thats true it would be a miracle. That place is scrubber central. On the few occasions I ever go to Meadowhall I say to our lass I will just nip to the arcade, see you in 20 mins or so. I am then back 2 minutes later.
However for Mario Kart Arcade I would happily play alongside scrubbers.

Just phoned them and they've got it on test for at least the next couple of weeks.

Sheff Namco is the test location for every game in the country pretty much, so it wouldnt surprise me.

The reason you don't get location tests in London is because it would not provide a proper idea of the takings of the machine - every l33t gaymer in the country would go out of their way to get to London, not Sheff. Unless its new Bemani, then you see every ****wank in the country do a pilgrimage.

Its not called Meadowhell because its warm there y'know. Last time I went there I almost bought one of those miniature motorbikes they sell just off the food court... Then went and played OutRun2 instead... choices choices.

as arcades go its not bad clean tidy and they used to have a decent selection of fighters and racers a few years back too, full of chavs yeah but everware is these days.

If were talking of holes how about the metro center neer manchester not one arcade machine that isnt fag burn infested.

Isn't it the Trafford Centre that near Manchester? The Metro Centre is up in Gateshead just outside Newcastle.
