dreamcast / ikaruga cocktail arcade cab

Looks good but there would be something that I would change personally myself if I was to make it. You see your joystick? Well won't it be better if it was tilted a bit at an angle so that you are not playing at a right angle over the screen?

That's very cool. Good job mate. I imagine the next step will be to hook up an XBOX and FinalBurn so that all those fantastic CAVE/Toaplan/CAPCOM shooters can be enjoyed in Tate too.

like someone has said - angle the joystick slightly and it will be better

          neat! very neat!

add a flat screen and it's close to being perfect (model 2 in the works then )

cheers for all the comments guys. i took some pics during the making process and i'm in the process of building a website thet i'll publish when it's all painted. that will include scans of design work, video footage of it in action etc. be a little while yet but i'll post it when it's done. as for the angled joystick, it really makes no difference after lots of playtesting, although maybe a slight angle to the screen will improve it. as for a flat screen, well ideally that's what i would have used but the whole project cost me so much i had to resort to scavenging many parts, including the eventual monitor!

That Sir is a work of art. What type is the monitor, PC old TV?
I have a spare old B&O 24" set but fear it may be a bit heavy.

Personally I'd prefer the monitor to be tilted, so I wouldn't have to crane my neck over. it's nice tho! Very retro. You should take more pics with loads of empty pints around it.
