    A game endings repository

    Hello all,

Many months ago, I made some random post on the rllmuk forum about being annoyed that in some games you needed to play through them multiple times to see all the endings. My thoughts were that if I've put the effort in to finishing it once, I should be allowed to see all the endings. I think what may have prompted this was learning about the umpteen possible endings of the Silent Hill games.

My suggestion was to create some sort of repository to hold the endings of these games that we couldn't be bothered to finish 10 times. Obviously, it got the customary forum response which could be summerised as "You are ****, what a **** idea, I hope you die soon"

However, this discussion came up again, between myself and fellow forumite, and we decided to go ahead and setup a site anyway to try this idea out.

... and so we did. Cobbled together by 5 minutes of looking through "Learn html in 10 minutes", and with zero in design skills we came up with www.game-endings.co.uk

It's obviously very bad, and only contains the endings for 3 games you've probably already finished. But it's there in the hope that people will want to contribute videos of endings to the site. As an examaple we'd love for someone to contribute all the multiple Resi Evil ones, the Silent Hill ones, the ending you get for playing Eternal Darkness through 3 times etc etc.

Be very cool, if anyone could offer anything.

    Cheers

This post was ok'd by Admin BTW

From what I've seen vg museum on has picture of ending rather than full movies.
Still this is a great idea and would contibute if I have the right kit but I haven't got a video capture card

Our big fear is that they'd be a group of guys wanting to contribute but with no way of getting their movies to us. Have you thought about recording onto VCR, as in scart from console direct into VCR ? If you know anyone with a capture card then get them to capture it off your tape then get it to us. Of course last resort is that you can post you tape to us in the old fashioned mail, but this is a lot of hassle and would cost you money to send , so I wouldn't expect people to have to go to that sort of effort. So I don't know, sad faces all round I guess :-(

great idea! unfortunatly, i don't have a videocamera.
i do remember completing eternal darkness 3 times, only to get like 20 seconds extra of pictures, basically a summarize of how the big blob in the temple room cunningly outwitted the 3 ancients with your help bla bla...
..oh, this wasn't the 'games you've completed but hate the ending,+ ratchet & plank sucks' thread?

couple of months ago Tom Salter posted a URL for a site containing full video captured walkthroughs, you could probably pinch the endings from the replays on there .... now only if I could find the topic/URL

Good luck with the site by the way.

I could help you out with some webspace, drop me a PM.

Silent Hill can get bent if it wants me to finish it 11 times to get the UFO ending I didn't actually complete it at all in the end. I got to the woman copper on the merry-go-round trying to kill me or herself, and kind of stopped playing..
