Can't help but feel it could be another Dreamcast... very popular for a while, but Sony will just kill all the hype when the PS3 is released later, and the XBox 360 will be yesterdays news.

Microsoft's infinitely deep pockets will never allow this to happen. "Yesterday's news" is determined by a lack of POS in Game, not by the carefully considered gaming tastes of the public/chavs. Visibility is everything - and MS sure know how to be visibile. Witness them practically buy MTV for a day.
Sega, on the other hand...

I'm sure most people may not understand or give a stuff for the amount of functionailty 360 will offer but they'll certainly see a slew of release day EA games looking pretty hot dam photo-realistic funk-chav-tastic.
